We have sent Corning enough eyes to make his account $125. He
has paid $85. and will pay balance "in a little while". Have sold E .F. Knithan, Burlington, Iowa $75. of eggs, making $130. sales in that dept. in a month.
Prof. Coulber sends $200. on account and will send " a con-
siderably larger" remittance "toward the end of the year." Have heard nothing more from Mrs. Lambert since we wrote her to ship specimens.
W. H. Woodcock, Ft. Wrangel, Alaska, offered Sea Otter skel..
(complete) for $16. taken, with request to ship care of Clements.
During past few days there has been received $354. from
M.C.Z. $350. from Dr. Jayne, $200. from Prof. Coulber and $85. from Corning. Before this they were rather short at the office, so that I could not always get full al- lowance on Saturday - had to come again Monday. Sales for Sept. $1,120, expenses $950. Sales do not in- clude shipment to M.C.Z. (about $350.) probably about being made. Prof. Straight of Oswego writes that their bill will be paid in a few days - it had been over looked. Bills Receivable, Oct. 1, were $7,007. - are now a little over $6,000. Brought a list with me, but have mislaid it.
Mr. Howell says I might mention that he had just rec'd
2[d?] $500. from Exposition.
I came here on the 7th to help pack and hope to return
about end of next week. All was going well when I left. The 2 Mt. Goats for Bierstadt are ready & he has been notified. Mr. Lucas will write shop news - and perhaps some which
