I have given.

Charles is working quite well and is gradually

squaring his account. He has made no debts recently so far as I know. Hornaday has a 12 lb. girl. We are hoping for further </s word > ^directions^ and one or more ar- ticles from you for next Bulletin. It will be pushed ahead as soon as Mr. Howell returns. L. F. W. comes up nearly every week - is having Mr. Lucas keep exact account of what each man does & cost of material used to see whether enough is charged for specimens. He has been pleasant enough so far as I am concerned and I have gotten along very well.

Mr. Howell has written Exposition news and as it is

late I will close. I put off writing you till I came here, thinking to have more time, but find I made a mistake.

Was sorry to hear that you are to be away longer as the

Estab. does not seem to do nearly as well when you are away.

Hoping that all is going well with you I remain

Respectfully yours Arthur B. Baker. Last Hamburg shipment brought lot of birds from Schneider and an addition of two to the Leuckart & Nitsche diagrams. [ybg]
