He was made no money where he is and must find something to do soon after he returned. He thinks that the bird skins which he sends will not be of much use to you, although some are quite rare, and all which we do not want he wishes to have kept till he comes. The political condition of the Argentina Republic is, he says, very bad, and if, as seems probably, they get into a war with Chili, it will be much worse.
Theol. Sem. takes all antiquities and all zoölogical material expect the Gazelle, which they may want later. No payment has yet been made. Dr. Prime writes the $60.- lot of eggs which was sent him "The eggs are in perfect order, not an accident. I am much gratified with the result of this order," and sends draft for the amount. The new catalogue of N. Am. Eggs is out and I sent by this mail a half doz. copies.
