       Charles, as you have probably have been told, is entirely

taken up with the bust business. He looks at it from the Hornadayian stand poin i. e. sure success - failure impos- -sible - millions in it. While he sees a "ready ro^a^d to riches", I think he will be lucky if he clears enough to make regular wages.

       You know that the Inegatherium and other casts

are to be mounted in Montreal; now I want to go there alone and put it up. You will readily concede that it would be for the interest of Messrs. Ward & Howell and HLWard if the last named person were recognized as competent to mount the Meg. at any place, without skilled assistance.

       While Uncle Edwin says that he has no doubt of

my ability to do it alone; yet he says he would like to mount another Meg. with me.

        Now I am posative that I can do it alone, and all

I want is a fair chance to prove it.
