Mother keeps in her usual state of health. Alice is arrived at that state, when nothing suits
unless is is just like May Gordon's or some-ones else.
I vaccinated both Mother and Alice a few w^e^eks
ago, It worked well on both. The other evening I vaccinated Uncle Edd and Mr. Baker. They are yet to be heard from.
We, the class of '83 R. F. A. have organized a society to be
known as the Rochester Free Academy Literary Society.
What it will amount to remains to be seen; but if
carried on properly it surely must be of considerable benefit to the members: affording an excellent opportu- -nity for debates and essays, which I hope will be justly but severely handled by the Critic.
I was chairman of the constitution committee,
and now their first President.
Such societies, I know, are not apt to succeed when
organized by such young persons; but I am going to do my best and try and make this one an exception.
If it hangs to-gether for any length of time it will
at least tend to enable us to speak without hesitation or embarassment.
You ask how much money you owe me.
