       Now it may be that you want to talk them up

in regard to farther orders. Well, why not let me put it up and then you or Uncle Edwin happen around just to see if it has been mounted all right, and every thing left O. K. Would that not be all right.

        Now I have a presentment that I will need a short 

vacation about March, and that the climate at Montreal would just suit me.

        I hope you will look favorably on this

proposition.  ?

       You told me to "bring memory,witt, and care"

to my aid in writing you. How are memory and care; but as for wit - well it is not natural for me to be witty, and forced wit is abominable.

       I am in as good health as ordinarially, some

catarrh and dyspeptia, but practically all right.

       Rochester is in the depths of Winter one day - the next

in the midst of Spring. Many of the stores, and Power's Block, are lighted by electric lights. Your affectionate son Henry L. Ward
