I am in receipt
of a letter from you addressed Gen. D. B. Sackett through the kindness of my friend T.B. Sacket of Bozimas Mont. - in reference to A Mountain Goat Head sent you by Gen. Sacket. I hereby inform you that I am the man that killed the Goat and sent the head to J. B. Sacket Bozeman. I am engaged in mercantile pursuits and for a little diversion go out on hunting excursions occasionally It was on one of these trips that I secured that goat for my friend J. B.
