for the Large Museum cases for Invertebrates seem to be poor. As it is I have about all the work on my hands that I can attend to. When Mr. Howell or Mr. Lucas is away there is of course more for me to do, and I should not care to have extra work on Invertebrates just at present.

     Mr. Preston divides his time between W. & H. and

Invertebrates, - nearly all the latter for the past three weeks. He has been working some on Horse-shoe Crabs. Mr. Preston is very genial and pleasant and seems to be liked by every one. He is a steady worker and moderately rapid.

    We have just filled a $50.- order for ^American^ eggs from

E.F. Knithan of Burlington, Iowa, who had never bought an egg here before. Eggs have been rather dull for a few months past. Have been trying to get some rare eggs for Rev. W. Prime of New York, but with poor success so far. He takes anything ^in Amer. eggs^ not in his collection.

    Nothing further now. Shall look with much

interest for your next letter, expecting it to give your opinion of and criticisms upon the Bulletin. We must begin soon to prepare for the next number. Do not know yet just what the other cost. Mr. Howell has been trying for some time to see Mr. Andrew as there was some uncertainty about the bill. It
