Dear Prof. Ward, Enclosed is summary for Aug. and list of Bills Receivable Sept. 1. All is going along here about as usual except that several are away - Mess. Lucas, Staebner, De Kempeneer and Joe - and William expects to have a vaca- tion next week. The scraping boys have all left us to commence school and we are now looking for one who will be permanent. Mrs. Turner and her sister and Mlle. Bailly are doing a considerable amount of scraping, so that we do not need more than one boy at present. Mr. Webster and William have both finished Their Mt. Goats and have made two fine speci- mens. The male (Mr. Webster’s) is a very large one -- the largest in the entire lot. William’s is much smaller and both are in fine condition. They will go to Bierstadt next month.
William and Wood are at work on M.C.Z. birds and Webster will begin on same tomorrow. Hornaday is mounting a Phalangista for the stock. M.C.Z. ma- terial is rather low and we shall hope soon to receive a lot from Australia. Bailly is mounting
