  Enclosed is copy of Hume's letter. Mr.

Lucas wrote Prof. Allen about Budoreas, but he is apparently away from Cambridge as we have not heard from him., We are delaying writing Hume in order to hear first from Prof. Allen. If he takes Budoreas we will write Hume that we will take it, if he does not take it we will tell him that you will decide about it. Will tell him that </s copy of.> his letter has been forwarded to you & that you will write him in regard to the collcc- tions of birds.

  I also enclose list of Invertebrates

sent to San Francisco. Mr. Lucas left today for a two weeks fishing trip in Canada. He has made out M. C. Z. bill ($354.66) and tomorrow I will pack and ship the specimens. Have shipped 100 Horse shoe Crabs and sent bill for 600 [fes.] (5 fres to equal a dollar) They go by Morris' Express. Hope to ship the balance in two weeks.

  Prof. Babcock of Fredonia Normal School

visited us yesterday and ordered a $100. series of Invertebrates. - will probably order $25. or $30. of Anatomical Models.

  We shipped today the Antelope and two seals

to the U. S. National Museum and sent bill for $146.50.
