That the case has been received and paid for you have heard ere this. That I have neglected to write you about many things which I ought I cannot deny; yet I do think. Profes- sor , that you accuse me of a little too much delinquency. I have already writ- ten you about several matters concerning which you write. Will tell you next week about Invertebrates sent to Frisco; also about Charles' account: The last ^(without Suppl.)^ College, and Acad. Series ^(with supplement)^ of Casts for Frisco were shipped Monday The boxes are carefully labeled as to which series they belong and what they contain so that they can be sent away from Frisco without unpacking.

  I left Rochester last Saturday eve and

return tomorrow night. I should not have left under ordinary circumstances, but my Fathers' serious illness made it probable that if I waited long before coming, he would not be able to recognize me. His condition, however, is now changing a little for the better. and we hope he will ulti- mately recover.

  Mr. Lucas will write
