may recover from it soon, but ^judging^ from what the Dr. says it is likely to be a considerable time before he does. His face and neck are quite badly broken out, - worse than I ever saw them before. He spends his time mostly in reading and running about town. He has not felt inclined to be out much in the evening since he has had this trouble and has been at home more than half the time of late. He has just obtained another black coat (costing about $20.-) in addition to the three which he already had so that now he has a pretty complete outfit of clothing.

    Mr. Lucas tells me that Mr. Barrows thinks of coming

back here. What place would he take - go in with Mr. Lucas or take his former place and let me go down to the shop? I hope the latter for I am beginning to tire somewhat of library or office work an would be glad to have an opportunity to work at the shops. I know that the work which I have had has been of very great advantage to me , but I would much prefer now to have a little more </s manual > work on specimens themselves - particularly in Osteology.
