you- 2 brains - hand, duck, turkey, & beetle. For whom were they ordered? Have looked over '80 & '81 letters and find no order. Sent draft $217.60 and told him to hold till he heard from us. Want to know for whom that are in order to avoid duty. Vienna has paid $275. leaving $380. due on Berlin sales. We sent 2 skeletons to Souverbie for $17.- which has been paid. Hetcher has 2 cases from Guyoors (one is Gerrards) & 1 from Miller of Faroes. which will be sent very soon. Elephant was billed at $1200. less the 8 %. I have not time to copy Pickerings letter in this - have sent copy to Sidney. Your 3 letters have appeared in Democrat & been copied considerably. Charles is painting casts very well. Syphilis is troubling him somewhat - Dr. Moore (Dick) has him in charge. He is studying Osteol. & geol. with Staebner & Lucas, which helps to keep him at home. There has been no time as yet for work on private Invert. cabinet. Rey's eggs have not come and there are not catalogues of For. eggs on hand. Must close now & get this to the R.R.
