farther news, and, hoping that you may have the best of success. I remain, Respectfully yours, Arthur B. Baker. Ward & Howell's specimens for Dr. Haart were shipped yesterday and leave by the "C. A. Littlefield" for Lyttelton about the 10th or 12th. Mr. Lucas wrote Southwick and Jencks of Prov, R. I. for the skins wanted for N.Z., but we have not heard from them. A box has, however, come by Express while I was writing, but has not yet been opened. It is probably from them.
H.Y. Hanks of Frisco orders casks of ^all gold^ </s.welcome>
nuggets and platinum nugget.
Freight for Frisco will probably have to
go to New York by R.R. as there seems to be no way of shipping by canal without costing almost as much. The transportation companies load no boats here -all are </s are> loaded at Buffalo.
Cat. of "School Series" of skeleton will be
out in a day or two, and enclosed is proof of bible page & preface. ([vertical on right side -</u Baker> June 181]
