I hoped to have been able to
send you a copy of the Bulletin with this letter, but will be obliged to wait till the next. All copy has been in hands of printers for several days and we have read proof of most of it, but with all our pushing it seems impossible to hurry the matter any at Andrews' and the work goes along very slowly.
Everything has gone along very quickly since
we last wrote you, and there is no news of impor- tance. The first load of skeletons has gone to Prof, Cook and the rest will follow in a day or two M.CZ. shipment has not yet been made out so that we cannot tell what its amount will be. The Gorilla will not be ready in time for this shipment, the degreasing having only just been finished. We are now entirely out of M.C.Z. birds and are anxiously waiting for Humes' box to come from New York. Mr. Howell has filled out and sent to Morris' Express an oath form certifying that the skins are for the M.C.L. for museum use. This seemed to be the only way in which we could
