Dear Prof. Ward,
All has been going along about as usual since we last wrote - business dull - and we have but little news.
Gerrard's case of skins - about £30 value - and the Walrus cask are at the Center freight house in bond. Mr. Howell will get them today. We are obliged to send Tice and Lynch for certified invoice in order to get the cases. The invoice was formerly sent on from N. Y. Custom House, but this is no longer done.
J. A. Kanouse of Fort Benton, Montana, writes that one box and one bale of Goats were shipped from there Mar. 9. and freight paid to Dillon. The terminus of the R. R. - 225 lbs. at 16¢ per lb. = $36.- which amount has been sent to him. We shall soon begin to look for the Goats, and as soon as received will send two to Schneider as you directed. Received a letter a few days ago from H. A. Kanouse, but it contained nothing of importance - merely request that we would
