will commence again on the Elephant. Martens has finished the Smithsonian Mt. Sheep, which comes out very well. He will soon take Rhinoceros sumatranus which Allen thinks will be wanted. Webster has been sick for past 5 days with carbuncle on his neck - is now recovering.
Poppert has formed a partnership with another painter and will go into business on his own account. will remain here for a few weeks however.
Have had no word from Mt. Goats, have written Kanouse and his Father (Fr. Beuton), also the various parties in whose care they were sent, but no word as yet.
Wrote Scott and Prof. Hooper. Scott is still expecting to get money, H. does not answer, shall write him again. Crawfordsville has paid $150.- Feb Summary stands as when I last wrote you Exenses Zoöl cases
