Dear Prof. Ward,

Although it is several days since we last sent you a letter, yet there is very little in the way of news to write. It has finally been decided to make no M. C. Z. shipment till the first of next month and make a large one then. By that time the Gaur Ox and both Chimpanzees would be ready to go besides the Crocodile and a lot of birds and small mammals. The Moas have reduced M. C. Z skeleton work considerably. Mr. Hornaday has had a good success with the ♀ Chimpanzee; hair has not come out at all, and it makes in every way a better specimen than the male. She is mounted walking - all four hands on the ground.- will be finished tomorrow. Bailly's work on Moas will end this week: next week he and Hornaday
