Dear Prof. Ward,

Your letter of the 14th and two cards of the15th reached me on the 23d at Syracuse. I put the proper postage on Hume's letter and mailed it to him after making a copy. The Sea Otter skull has come, but cocoon has not as yet. Will send for Tryon's models as you did not include them in the large order. Frank did not state how much he paid to Gerrard; it should be £18-18-6. Have asked Gerrard for statement of account. Did not order Armadillo skin as Mr. Lucas said it was not wanted, but did order 2 Sloth skeletons. Am writing J. N. Rice of Shelton Net. for 2 male Antelope skins and 2 heads.
