did dig & took out quite a quantity of Bones teeth tusks, horns & c of Mastodon, Mammoth, Elephant very large Deer, Buffalo & c but about the time, the bones were showing the thickest he had to </s qu > stop for want of funds, his lease of the ground does not expire for about a year. & if I had money I would go into it with him for I think there is money to be made there. enclosed I send you Photograph of teeth which he dug up, the largest is a piece of jaw 17 inches long, weight 30 lbs. containing 3 teeth. I have not seen his bones, as they are at Big Bone, Ky. but from all accounts they are some fine pieces among them, - Do you want any thing of that kind. if you do, I could go over there, see them, make outline drawings and measure them, & send to you, please let me know.
