Dear Prof. Ward,

Your letter of the 1st reached me today.

It finds me fully recovered from my late cold, so that I have been reding the "range" during the middle of the day. The satisfactory way n which I have thrown off this cold much encourage me. I feel better than before it.

I am still Unable to set a time for leaving here - cer-

tain money matters in the East have first to be settled, and there are also some things which I wish to arrange about the cattle. Cattle have been acting very badly for the past few weeks. Many of them are eating "loco" which they were never before known to do at this time pf year. When hunting the weed they scatter badly and give a great amount of trouble to keep them together. However I believe that they are improving.

I have for you six skeletons of ,</u Lepussyloaticus >
and three of </u Ochetodon Lumilis >. Five also of the latter

are hanging out of doors, waiting for their skins to be taken off. I have also one skeleton of </u Vulpes vela >. I shall send you probably 10 skeletons each of </u L. sylvaticus .> and </u L. callotis > a few skins of each and of </u L. campestris. >
