received another lot of 65 Garnets which weigh
210 lbs. The smallest ones weigh 2 lbs. 1.6 lb. and
1. 91/2 lbs.!,/u> Have written Bernent that he can have it for $15. -
It is the largest Garnet I have ever heard of and is a good
one, unless they find more like it it will of course
be worth more. I felt that I <u>must buy these
although I had to take money I had put aside to
finish paying for my lab next July. -Ward Howell
money is all gone and I am afraid there will
not be much coming in soon. I hope you will
not buy anything unless except such things as you
are very sure you ought to, unless you can pay
for it in exchange. I thought I could spare Antonio
before this time but a good many large things have
to be cast for Loucille and a good many things have to be
painted. I hope you are going to make some
good large sales before you leave Mexico - of course you
will not bring the casts home but exchange them for
what you can first, and , better exchange and pay much
more than pay cash, - we can spare material now but
are out of cash, and ? it seems to bad that when you are on
the ground you should not be able to buy all good things
that are offered cheap, but you can probably arrange for some
things, - in the future. Have you heard anything yet from
the Botany man? also from cheeseman? why ? he pay us?
Have been devoting a lot of time and expence to 200 crystal
models that were ordered for Sydney - they always make
me ? and cost more than they bring. Good luck attend you
very truly
