teen full case four wall, cases 2 ft deep 12 ft long and 81/2 high inside measure are required. The glass should not be less than 32 X 16, ( that is six lights to a door.) Possibly glass 48 X 32 that is two lights to a door would be best. The single light in the end or in a door wooul probably be too expensive for our pockets - The floors, ceilings and shelving should be pine (painted white) The frame work should be ash or some equally good material.

The cases need not be made within

a year & possibly a year & a half - But we wish to know in the course of a few weeks what they will cost and on whom we can rely to make them -

I wish you would give the matter

your attention and give me a plan for such a case as you think we should have and also give some estimate of the probable cost. The cases in Central Park Museum are of course very fine as models and probably more expensive than we could pay for - Possibly you would advise glass over the top of the cases in- stead of wood - The room will be lighted
