a tour by way of spending our leisure hours we each bought 50 books(Wells's Lawyers) for which we paid 20 cts apiece in N. Y. city and started in an easterly direction. I sold 6 the first day (50 cts apiece) and Condron 7, and so on, we went East as far as Clyde stoping at all the intermediate places, and then South as far as Elmira, we walked part of the way and rode the rest, we walked from Elmira to Jefferson in one day carying upon our backs about 15 books apeice. It rained all that </s day > day as it did most of the time while we were away. I lost about one dollar and a half by the operation but was well satisfied While in Geneva we visited the Medical college. The Janitor was very polite to us.
