you are homeward bound or bound for Albion's shore. You are very, very kind, dear Ward to continue your interest in me. I did feel as though I had taken up too much of your time and attention; and though I deem your friendship an honor (a choice one), I felt wrong in dividing your sympathies and enlisting so many in my be- half. Many warm thanks for your universal </s diligence > interest. Mr W. probably feels poor after his great Expenditures last winter in costly New York: it was a tight sea- son. And though I might make some imposition on him by a personal interview: as it is so late in the season, & you are to leave the continent I would rather not urge him </u now >.
