  I want to tell you what

Providence has been doing for me. I wrote you about two weeks since asking a little more advice; but not waiting for an answer I have finally mustered courage to apply to </u Mr Wadsworth >. I acted on your suggestion, believing that it could not be worse than a failure. The state of my health driving me nearly to despair & despair giving me boldness I resolved upon a plan & executed it. I wrote a long letter to Hon. Alvah Hunt Ex State Treasurer, requesting him to use his influence in my behalf. I prayed & hoped that ^Mr^ Wadsworth fell within the circle of his acquaintance and the next mail brought a line
