have been with us, it was a pleasanter gath- wring than usual, and very numerously attended, I believe nearly or quite seventy were present - Willy Ward and his new wife , who, as you remember was Amelia Hills, a daughter of Mr Isaac Hills, were on hand. William is just convalescing from an attack of Typhoid fever, contracted ere he had been one month married; the event took place on the 4th of Oct. Then Joseph Ward with his wife & child, and his uncle & aunt Slocomb, who are all become residents of Rochester within the past year, were present - they intend building in the spring, just east of Uncle Levi, in the grove grounds, and Willy also, I believe, so it seems they like to nestle 'round the old homestead. Dr Penney; family circle were of the Thanksgiving party also the old gentleman shattered in health, and enfeebled in mind, has come back to Rochester to close his earthly career, among his old and beloved friends.
