     Dear Sir,
             Prof F. H. Smith of this Uni

=versity of Virginia, has communicated to me, as Rector of that institution, in the strictest confidence, that he has reason to believe that either you, or some one in your state, have contemplated the project of presenting to the University of Virginia a cabinet of National History, including casts (yours) of celebrated ???/// I am further given to understand, that the just and prudent inquiry is made whether suitable halls and other accom= madations for such a collection - such as would insure their proper preservation and advantageous use of the collection, would be provided.
