as to the Railroad freight. You will see from letter enclosed (from C. C. Hansel Omaha) that the rate over the Union Pacific will be 3. cts per lb. & C.C.Hansel & co. in whose care the boxes are shipped, will secure as low a rate as possible from there to Rochester. I have advised him of the shipment & also of what the charges would be from Sterling to Sterling Ogden (the terminus of the U. P. road)
(20) - The freight from here to Virginia City was $20.00 - From Virginia City to Franklin, as per freight
Virginia receipt enclosed 2 1/2 cts per lb.( the boxes 2 1/2 City to be weighed at Franklin) c per lb There will be a small freight bill over

I have written Mr. Kennedy at Franklin, on weighing the boxes. to mark the weight, plainly on each. so that the railroads shall not charge for over weight.
