Dear Prof. Ward.
All is apparently going on
well at the shops. Your letter of Mar. 27. came today telling about the </u Hatteria >. You have apparently got a supply for all time and if you can only succeed as well with Arnithorhynchus it will be a good thing. The bird skins are mostly nothing remarkable either for rarity or price but we can get a few for Cambridge out of them. They already nave the </u Anarhynchus (Crooked - billed Plover). I wonder if you will succeed in procuring a Dugong skin. Am packing the Mt. Sheep for the Smithsonian today. The male, did not turn out as well as I would have liked for the hair falls out considerably, but it could not be helped. Almost all of the birds from Gerrard are now stuffed and I hope the Lord or you will provide some more soon. The Elephant as I believe I have before remarked grows. and it grows better and better looking daily.
