note for $510. from Dec. 1.. 1880 for six months with interest (Due June 1.) Saw Chandler who paid me $100. for meteorites, and Dr. Newberry wanted some fossils sent him. which I will so in a day or two. Went on to Princeton and saw Libbey a week ago this morning. He said if I had been a day later could have fixed everything . -that he sent for the money the day before. He said he would send a draft for half the amount in two or three days, but it has not come yet. He said he had expected to hear from us and had been busy &e.. or would have attended to it before. He was surprised at the small amount we took back, and objected to the large percentage taken off from casts for damage, but finally accepted it. And said he was much pleased with the cabinet and it looked much better than when he saw it in Rochester. Yesterday I completed sale of winged. Lion & Bull - we put up the two at Choutonguoy in July, and send also Rosetta Stone and Egyptian Isis and the Two other Asyrian figures for $425. I have written Prest. Allen telling him that if he ever wants them now is the time, we will give them boxed for $300. By the way I wonder if it wouldn't be a good plan to send them to San Fran- cisco? I talked up that question with Frank Ward and decided to go ahead. I couldn't see Lee without going down again, and I told Frank I couldn't spend so much time but would go right ahead, so there is no other way but you </u must> sell the shrimp we send you.
