Resfy, J. B. Ward
</u My reply > Sterling. Montana, March 27th 1876 J. B. Ward esq & Treas of M Mon Co) Dear Sir:
I have just received yours of the 11th, &
have carefully noted its contents.
The division you wish, in which, you
become owners of the entire salable portion of the property. cannot be accomplished with out a cash consideration.
We can make the Division, & I would take
in the trade, the immovables, alowing what they would be worth to me. But as from your statement you are not yet assured of being able to exchange the machinery for the other interest, you do not need my proposition now
If you are assured of that, & wish my basis
of values, with a Proposition of Division, I will give it at once. We have no debt here & sufficient cash to pay taxes & represent mines for two years yet - about $500.00) truly yours P. V. Jackson. [another hand in the left margin </u Jackson P. V. > Apr /76] [ybg]
