Mr.P. V. Jackson. Dear Sir
The stockholders of the Montana Midas Mining Co. have been
making an extra effort. To make some dispositives, of their property in Montana: There seems now to be some prospect that they might exchange the machinery & movable int erest, for other property & Interest, which perhaps some day would give them something in return: They would get no money whatever. Now, of course, nothing of this kind can be thought of unless some division can be made with you: The co have lands lands & buildings there which ought to be salable. Now if we can effect anything here, what say you to a proposition. To give us your 1/3 interest in the machinery & movables for our 2/3 in real estate lodes & immovables. Have talked with a number of the stockholders & they are inclined to think that one ought to about balance the other What say you do it? Please let me know - each writing a Proposition that we can lay before the Stock holders: This is unofficial, as of course I could not well see, but few in interest, unless full
