Feb 29, 1876 PRESIDENT'S OFFICE Washinngton and Lee University, LEXINGTON, VA. (29 FEBY, 1876) Zoological Hall will be 5 ft. high The Carpenters having in charge the Construction of the three short cases for the front (east side) of Geological Hall say that each one of these cases will require one </u double > door and one </u single > door, so as not to vary from the limits you have given for width of doors, viz; - from 2 1/2 to 3 ft. The locks are ordered in accordance with this idea. If there be any ob- jection to the arrangement, please change the order for locks, and advise me of your wishes in the matter.

    Geological Hall will thus require

15 locks for double doors, and 3 locks for single doors - each 6 ft. high and 1 3/4 in thick.

    Zoological Hall will require 12 locks

for double doors - each 5 ft. high & 1 3/4 in. thick.
