just been received, and contents noted: Mr Howell thinks that he and his assistant will finish their work by next Friday or Saturday. They have been so steadily at it that I have been able to see very little of them; and they appear to have done everything in a very satisfactory manner.

       From present appearances, we ought

to be ready for you by the 1st May ~ certainly by the 10th ~ and shall be glad to see you here whenever it may best suit your convenience to come on. Will let you know as soon as possible the exact date
