The Septaria </s> are from Mt. Morris where are hundreds of them
from 3 inches in diameter to 4 feet. The fucoids
Arthofucoi are from Medina where I saw beautiful
specimens of them in the Medina sand stones.
Perhaps you had better give the Nat. Hist. Soc, one if
they have none. Of course you will make them pay
freight on their Specimen. Please send me their
catalougue. The <u>Lingulaare only found at
Medina I beleive. A good many ^number^ of the fossils I have
sent are corals the names of which I do not
remember. I have & get dozens of the C zathophylla if
wanted. I have never got my box of Salura so that
I could not send you a very nice specimen.. The calc.
Tufa of which I sent some occurs in great abundance
& in very fantastic forms at Caledonia ^or Wheatland^ just south
of here. There are near there large beds of marl just
below the surface so that the plough brings it them
up. If I had waited 6 months I could probably
have sent you some better fossils
