sohall take pleasure and pride in giving you a fine result. very truly yours I wish to call attention to a single point. Mr Hornaday says "At the request of Mr. Prof. Good and Mr. Ridge way I will write to Mr. Webster, state the conditions to be fulfilled in the proposed groups, and ask how many he can positively finish by the time set. Mr. Ridgeway has re- quested that he reply directly to him, to save time and insure office attention to the matter without delay."
I am much surprised at this, and I have telegraphed to
Mr. H. that he let all correspondence about the business of my Establishment pass through </u my > hands. -
Independent of other evident reasons for so doing.
you will see and explain to Mr. Ridgeway, that I can only in this way be responsible for what is here done.
