Ward's Natural Science Establishment, No. 2 College Avenue (opposite University), Rochester, N. Y. Dec. 19, 1882 Dear Professor Good,

    I am today in receipt of

a letter from Mr. Hornaday, in relation to the groups of Birds for the London Fishing Exhibition. I am very sorry, when I see the long list of these, that they would not have been sent earlier. I have just been talking with Mr. Webster about it, and I think that five groups - say groups B. C. D. E. and F. of the enclosed list, or other five if you prefer -, would be all that I can promise you by the 15th of February. This if you want Mr. Webster work throughout. If you do not insist on this, but simply stipulate for thoroughly 1st class and artistic work I may them do more. I shall hope to have from you at an early day about them. I would bespeak the best skins which you can spare; for you know how much the result depends on that. There may be considerable correspondence needed in carring out this work, and I will if you wish or permit it carry that on directly with Mr. Hornaday or whoever you may designate to to spare you, the annoyance of frequent letters or trivial details.
