was here to dinner one day this week. Mr Roy Gilbert's daughter was buried yesterday and after the funeral Mr Gilbert was to go on to Washington Mr Jackson is stopping with with Mr Hornaday and is to be married to a lady at Holley the fifteenth.

I hope you will write Henry

soon. He is not feeling very well and I think it is dyspepsia, And he has to study very hard. Examination begins next - week and I think he will pass honorably. I have great hopes for Henry - and I think he was not a little disappointed that he did not hear from you, and if not too much trouble would like a few lines. I think Mrs Ward will write before long. With kind regards and many wishes for your safe return. M.A. Whitney
