I had hoped to be able to report
a change for the better in Mother; but she seems to be in just about the same condition that she was in when you left here.
Monday she was quite unmanageable, insisting
on roaming around the house locking up whatever she could find. Since then she has been more quiet and considerably weaker.
Mrs. Dr. Dolly says that she must have nearly
perfect quiet or else she will relaps into a state of complete insanity. The nurse, Mrs. Dennis, seems a very capable and thoroughly efficient woman. Though Mother would not have her at first, she now seems to have thorough confidence in her.
Mrs. Dolly has ^written^ or is going to write,writtento you:
We do all that we can for Mother. The office has been moved to the shell-house , as the noise of passing through the halls was very injurious to her.
She likes to have Chas. and me stop in to see her,
but whenever I drop in she gets to talking in a manner
