There is a probability that Elocution will
be regularly taught next year. At present we have "composition and Reading." The reading does not ammount to very much in the line of elocution.
Rev. Myron Adams is stirring the people up, last
sunday I heard him on "The Devil". He thinks that the devil is impersonal and likens it to the government of the U. S. That it is something that can not be seen, is invested in no person and can only be felt by its effects.
It seems to me as if he could have pretty
strong grounds for saying the same for God.
Mrs. Kay was here the other day. Evidently
her mind is not at all sound.
We are made happy with this charming spring
weather with its exuberance of rain, wind and snow storms with a very few pleasant, warm days interspersed.
I was afraid that Grandfather would worry
because we heard nothing from you, but he has not so every thing has gone lovely. Since Uncle Edd got the steam engine for the saw, the men are all talking about getting their lives insured.
I will enclose this with Mrs. Baker's letter.
Your affectionate son, Henry L. Ward.
