       Mr, Baker is going

to send a letter in a few minutes, so I will not attempt to write you much of a letter now, but will write you a long one in a few days.

        Mother will come home,

stopping for a few days at Washington, in about two weeks.

       It seems that Alice is quite

anxious to get back and see her grandfather.

       I have been working pretty

hard on the Latin and can see quite an improvement already.
