[page 2] for the wl has been simply abominable, the roads all rutted up so that the teams have all taken to the side walk greatly to grand-father's annoyance, who mounts guard with his can and turns them all out into the street.

       I cant't write much news as I suppose

Mr. Baker has told you all there is worth mentioning.

       Everything is cleaned up nice about the

yard and cellar so we are ready for winter. Mr. Baker tells me that you are expected home on Thanksgiving day.

       How is is that!
