My Dear Proffessor:

     As I expect my Father

here before your return and as his coming may make some change in my affairs, I have thought it best to write you and make a proposition which I proposed doing before seeing him. I have very carefully kept account of the work I have been doing of late and find that although I am, at present, unable to com- plete the larger pairs to your satisfaction, never the-less I am doing work that is worth more than you are paying me for it,
