    On my return from the west

I found among other papers your circulars &e. among which was a description of your establishment, I have long wished to enter such a place, where I could </u learn > the business of Taxidermy </u &c > in a manner that would make me proficient in </u all > its branches. Have spen -t the last </u year > in Nebraska, in col- lecting specimens of N. H. such as Cats, Wolves, Beaver, Elk and Deer heads &c, but have greatly felt the need of a thorough course, of </u practical > study, in some such establishment as yours, where I
