But I tire you with this subject & will leave it for the present & say a few words about myself as you see by the heading of my letter I am up the Waikato I regret to say on a mission of laughter - tomorrow being the first day of the pheasant shooting. I expect to have a few days & then get back to Auckland to business & to prepare for a conversarione to be held at our Museum. We are all quite well & have been enjoying lovely weather. I hope you will not forget my address & the fact of my residing in Auckland & in the meantime with hearty wishes for pleasure & success on your travels, believe me ever. faithfully ours J. A. Pond
