Enclosed you will find a letter
of Studer's, replying to one of mine in which among other matters I requested that he place in my hands $100. to be expanded for the exhibition. This you see he declines and uses a very poor simile in so doing, as the case he cites is not parallel with ours. I begin to think with H. that we will. have to give him up as a bad egg. H.. thinks if he goes on and sees Mr Carnegie he can secure the funds. Please let me hear from you soon as a meeting should be called before long and </u something > must be done. There is an outcry among the editors of Ward's N. S. Bulletin two of whom have received no copy while a paltry 50 cent subscriber has. " Oh why is this thus; whence this thusness" ? Have you any word from Tennent ? Had a letter from
