Joe now works at home by the piece, an arrange- ment, which so far works wetland enables us to get directly at the cost of some work. De K. continually talks Australia and is evidently bent on going. Scott has his eye on Webster and Hornaday is on the lookout generally. Woods progresses finely of late and is becoming what I feared he Neve wood, a fast man. He is also beginning to do difficult work well and will merit what he hopes for a raise of wages next spring Forrest while doing </u good > work in scraping is slow. He is however trustworthy and very good at doing errands and looking after things. He is fireman, coming early enough to get the fires going. The new stove in Large Museum works well. Enclosed you will find a letter from Goode complaining about a Mt. Sheep & Fox. I do not remember that the Fox was bad but the sheep was and I wrote when I was sent that it was unavoidable and that we much regretted that it was done here because it loo`ked so poorly and because there was no help for it.
