Series ready to print. The Bulletin again evinces signs of life. You asked about Rhinoceros horn. The specimen on hand is <hi rend="u">R. sumatranus</hi> and as it is a female the horn is very small. It seems to me that it would hardly do to put a larger horn in place of the one now with the skin. Have asked Townsend for some more Menopomas?, also ordered a few medium Polyodon, and will try to get some Scaphirhynchus. Will have some interesting notes on Polyodon in a future Bulletin. The next thing in order will be packing skeletons for San Francisco and then getting ready for Cincinnati. Shall be glad to get the Hatteria and will follow instructions in regard with them. Shall expect a Dugong next.
Very truly your's Frederic A. Lucas.
