Rochester, NY May 5, 1881 Dear Prof. Ward

Am just beginning to pack for Cambridge, and expect to get off the boxes by the first of next week. Most of the birds are very nice and I hope that the bill will [foot?] up roundly. The last lot went through all right. One keg of good Sirens has just arrived from Dr. Manigault & he says that he will send another soon. Prof. Emery, University of Bologna, wrote that he had secured two Mouflons (Ovis musimon) for you at a cost of 200 pr. and ordered 350 pr of alcoholics. They were promptly sent him. Mr. Garman wishes five Hatterias, and <hi rend="str">wishes</hi> the name of the nearest town or stream to where they were captured given as locality. He is very anxious that localities should accompany all specimens. The next M.C.Z. lot will include Gorilla & Chimpanzee skeletons and <hi rend="u">possibly</hi> Orang. The cuts for School Series Catalogue of skeletons are in the engravers hands. Mr. Howell was very anxious that it should come out and so I have carefully revised the text and got the School
